I bought some ported heads on ebay that came from with new lifters.I went to put the lifters on last night and noticed the flat notches for the lifter guides are 90degrees off from my old ones.If I tried to use them the rollers would be facing the opposite way than the cam lobes.Any idea on what these would be used for or on?

those are factory chevy big block roller lifters, they are 90* off from small block roller lifters
