what springs and pushrods for F14HL
Can anyone running the F14 highlift recommend which length pushrods to run? I've read around a little and it seems like the 7.4s aren't going to give enough preload...would a 7.425 be the one to go with? And I was origianlly planning on just running the Patriot Gold dual springs but because the lift on the intake side is getting really close to .650 would it be wise to run the "Gold Extremes" rated to .660?

Ok, I'm probably just going to go with the extremes for the added insurance...the thing i'm really not sure about is the pushrod length. I would assume you're getting a good amount of valvetrain noise with your 7.4s. I know I saw a vid of LS1IMPULSE who has an f14 and everyone was saying he needed longer pushrods...

The Patriot extreme golds springs you are talking about will be to my opinon all you will need. I have the regular F13 in my car and with any all the aftermarket cams I ve put in these style motors unless the heads or block have been milled I run 7.40 pushrods. I use to run 2002 405hp LS6 camwith comps 918 springs in my first stock motor and everyone says the base circle is smaller so run a longer pushrod. The right size I needed was avalable 7.425 and when I went from 7.45 to 7.40 the valve got a little louder but it gained around a tenth so loose is FAST and I can handle a little pit of valve train noise.
