Default ZO6 cam and ratio rockers

with a zo6 cam is it worth putting 1.8s or 1.85s on it

The first LS6 design had .525" lift while the newer one has .551". You may see a small power increase, but if you don't have the springs for it you'll either have the retainer hit the valve guide or the springs'll run into coil bind. In either case, not good.

I guess it couldn't hurt then. That'll bring your lift to .556 with 1.8's, .571 with 1.85's and duration might increase by a degree or two (nothing significant). If it were me, I'd go with a nice set of full roller, adjustable 1.8's. Although the Harland Sharp's and Yella Terra's seem nice too! I think only SLP makes 1.85's without the roller tip, but I could be wrong. I don't think there'll be too much difference between the two. Either way you'll pick up a few ponies.

Just parked my 01Z after taking it out to try out my new YT lightweight 1.8s.
Definite improvement. It picks revs a bit faster and pulls a little stronger all the way through. Only took it to about 5 for the fiist run, but I think I'm going to like this.

Look into the crane's too, they're one of the best, the quick lifts.
