Default cam question

im looking at a 224/230 .609/.612 110 on XFI lobes

do you think this would be a good cam or would you recommend something else and what converter and length pushrods would you recommend for it. the car is my daily driver but i do take it to the track about once a month iv tried searching for it but i cant seem to find anyone running it on XFI lobes and do you think this would get me into the high elevens with the converter and full exhaust

I know im asking a lot of questions but I want to be sure before I take the plunge

thanks
Jeremy

sounds like a nice cam. It will be easy to tune. I say have 2-4 degrees advance ground into it, get a good dual spring, 7.4 pushrods should do it. With the full exhaust, a Yank SS 4000, and some MT or Hoosier drag radials and you should at least have a high 11 sec car. what gear do you have and whats your race weight?

im not sure on the race weight but its a hardtop with cloth seats right now i only have the mods in my sig. I wasn't planning on doing a cam with out more bolt ons first but i have a collapsed lifter and the tranny needs rebuilt so im going to pull the motor and trans and wanted to go ahead and do everything while the motors on a stand

I would go w/ a 112 LSA not a 110. Especially in an a4 car... will have a bit of surging, other than that, the cam sounds pretty stout.

the 110 will be fine for your app. you're correct in your thinking of relating overlap to drivability.
