Default stroker owners need thoughts

i dont know too much about what i need besides the kit itself.. was looking at stroker kits for my LS1 most of them come with a forged bottom end pistons rods but would all i need is the kit alone and call it a day? i was thinking wouldnt i need a set of new heads and cam also? sorry im a total dummy when it comes to this.
