I have an '01 block which apparently has a rusted cylinder wall. The machine shop said it needs to be bored, honed and that I need oversized pistons. Can someone tell me whether the pricing below is reasonable?

Machine Work: $760 to bore and hone the block, polish the crank and balance the engine. (balancing alone is $275)

Default

i paid 165.00 for my machine shop to
polish and mic crank, press in cam bearings, hoan, and "hot tank" the block, and new freeze plugs

so if you ask me.....i think that is high......my guy only wants150.00 to balance.....

the market varies in different locations though

good luck
