Default Cam Question

Would I gain anything from putting a '04 Zo6 cam in my car? I was told that since it is a factory GM cam it is going to benefit me quite a bit over my cam but the size would be similar enough to where my car would recognize the change and I would not need a tune. The person also told me that it would gain about 75hp over my cam?!?

NO point, get a after market cam from a vendor. IF you choose well you might see 70rwhp gain.

went from 360rwhp to 417 with the ms4 That's a 57 rwhp gain I wouldn't guess that very many people gain a whole lot more than that from just a cam swap....(p.s. not saying that I had the biggest gain from a cam)

Yea, I thought it was steep myself but I wasn't really sure. I'm sure if they gave 75hp then everyone would have one lol. It's just that my buddy got ahold of a Z06 cam and we were talking about putting it in my car. Probably not going to happen now but thanks guys.

I don't doubt it. He just had the right supporting mods.
