Default bone looking thing

anyone know where this goes, looks like a bone, o-ring on one side and threads on the other. about 3-4inches long and white.

DUMBELL, it goes in the back of the block. It is what makes the motor have oil pressure.

where abouts though, under the rear cover? on the driver side, which side goes in first?

It is behind the rear cover on the drivers side bottom corner just above the block skirt/oil pan. It is the main oil galley plug and if it's not in there you will have zero oil pressure. The side with the o-ring faces out.
