Default F14 ptv clearance

Putting this cam in my buddies car this weekend, and I am going mill the heads tomorrow. Safe to mill .030 with gm mls? I assume it is, just wanted to see if anyone has run it. 232/234 .598/.598 112+2. Intake duration leads me to believe there shouldnt be any problems.

Thanks

Brandon

If the head has stock valve sizes, then you should be OK on P to V clearance. It will be tight, but that IVO is in a pretty safe area.

7.350 should suit you just fine.

Patrick the heads have 2.02 valves, but you dont lose anything worth mentioning over the stock 2.00.

Thanks

I'm running an F14 on 5.3 heads milled about .005" (60cc) So that's equivilant to 5.3 heads milled .035". I'm also running 2.02" intakes. I used a MLS .054" gasket. All said and done I have .100" intake clearance and .180" exhaust clearance. My pushrods are 7.450". Of course my valve train geometry is more like a 241 head milled .005"

If I take the heads off I will re-install with .040" Cometics and go for more compression.

I would measure to be sure, it will be a bit tight on intake
