can't stroke an ls1 block to 427....requires resleeving...which is MEGA $$$$

but you can bore and stroke the ls2 blocks, or step up to an aftermarket block.

still ALOT of $$

my suggestion is to check out several engine builders...www.victoryracingengines.com offers 427 strokers for reasonable cost.

Depending on how much boost and how you are going to go about it there are a lot of different options to choose from. We custom CNC blueprint and build all of our engines in house and offer competitive pricing with unsurpassed quality in our engine program.

If you have any questions at all feel free to drop me an email or a PM on here and I will be sure to get right back to ya!

the ls1 block cannot be done into a 427 but the ls2 can correct and same with the iron blocks. I realy like the idea of a 427 but if its unatainable a 408 or 383 would be fine as well.

The ls1 block can be made a 427, but w/ sleeves, like stated above. Correct the ls2 and lsx iron block could also be made into a 427 too but the ls2 also requires sleeves.

If your going for budget than 383 and 408 would be better. Since you're going to put boost to it, doesn't look like you're going too budget. Either would be a good choice.

This will probably be a 2 year build so I can make this motor exactly how I want It also may become part of an old f-body rebuild so Price is unkown as of the moment. I have to see what the fishing season gives me lol. IF any one from maryland or near maryland wants to help my funds you could book a charter fishing trip. but on another note it will be a drawn out build deffinatly so it will be build rite safe and reliable.

just go 408 and be happy with that. plenty of people are making stupid power with them and if you go iron it will be able to take a bunch of boost.
