Default Head decisions for Torquer 2

I've searched and searched but haven't been able to come to a good conclusion yet. I have enough to buy either but want to make sure it's money well spent. Compression will be 11.1 with either head, running .040 cometics too. Any knowledge/opinioins are welcome!!

Cam is 232/234 .595/.598 113+1

OPTIONS

GTP Stage 2+ 222cc LS1 castings 241(used) - website claims 320+ flow @ .600, milled to 64cc chambers, w/ 2.02/1.57. I can get these @ around $1000, and have heard nothing but excellent comments on Craig's port work!

PRC 5.3 Stg. 2.5's 220cc (new) - For $1240 fr. TSP, flows 312 @ .600, a lot of great numbers being produced by these.

These are going on a 300+ mile/wk. DD, w/ occassional track time. Basically looking for the most streetable power combo/good track #'s.

Right now I'm leaning towards the GTP's due to them being hand ported by Craig, (voted one of the top 5 head porters on this site!), and the fact that they aren't as common as the 5.3's, and being as I have a black WS6 I need something to set me apart!

What are the rest of the flow numbers?? An engine spends so little time at peak lift and flow it is almost irrelevant. Flows from .100-.500 are more iimportant for comparison. Same for the exhaust side.

I have TSP 5.3 stage 2.5 and they are nice. They looked really good and perform quite well with my T2. Nice heads but either way I think you'll be happy.

i went from lpe ported 241's to patriot 243's and picked up a considerable amount. not the two heads you have listed but another thought. running gm mls with 59cc heads for 11:1 with the torquer 2 and have gone as fast as 10.89 on motor in a 2004 auto corvette with all the supporting mods. this is my daily driver too. just food for thought

Damn those are some stong #'s you got there! I'd be happy w/ at least 11.5's but 10.89 is unreal! My overall plans are to run right @ 11:1, (no 93 here in TX panhandle or I'd mill and run @ 12:1) and I know the 243's will usually out perform 241/853's, but these are basically my budget minded options for now!

Thanks for the info btw
