Question Need help rebuilding my ls1

I just recently found out that i need new piston rings. since the motor is gonna be taken apart im gonna do the heads and put a bigger cam. I got slp headers with ypipe with a few more mods. what kind of cam should i be shopping for keep in mind i want it to be a daily driver. should i replace the pistons or keep the stock ones. and if i do replace the pistons should i go with bigger cam.

You need to first figure out your goals for the car. How much power do you want to make? How much is your budget?

are the pistons in good condition? no broken ring lands or anything. you need to inspect the bores to see how much they have opened up and how out of round they are. if there in pretty good shape have your machine shop run a light hone thru them so your new rings will seat. you cannot put new rings in without a fresh hone, you will never get the rings to seal well without it
