I have lots of ticking sounds after tr224 install!
I just installed a tr224 and now there is tons of ticking sounds. Is this normal or is something wrong. I know on jmx's site it says that the seuing maching noise is normal but im still skeptical.
Thanks

918 springs?? if so the ticking ranges from sorta loud on some cars to sounding like a tap dancing mob.... mine sounds like a sewing maching big time. Freaked me out quit a few times cause im like is it supposed to be this loud. Check and see if its coming from both sides also

Have you ever heard another LS1 with aftermarket springs/cams in it? The ticking sound is very common with these parts. For whatever reason, some cars are louder than others.

Re: I have lots of ticking sounds after tr224 install!
I just installed my C1 cam in my car and it was making a ticking noise before the install. I was pulling out the spark plugs for the cam install and my #8 plug was not installed correctly. I put new plugs and when I was finished with everything I started the car back up and there was no more noise. It might not be the reason, but just a helpful thought. btw, I did lose alot of power cause of this reason.

I installed REV 7716 Springs, Yella Terra's, hardened push rods and bigger injectors along with my G5X2 and it definitely makes more noise. I think the headers also amplify the sound even more. Yeah it definitly sounds like a sewing machine but its kind of hard to hear because my car sounds so freakin mean now!!!

My rev double springs and x1 make a lot of tickin sounds...remember the injectors on LS1's are VERY loud because of the fuel pressure that they run. You can mistake a tic tic tic thinking it's valvetrain for injectors cycling.

I have loud ticking. Go to my website in my sig, then go to the Media Gallery and download my video. You can hear it very loudly as the camera passes under the engine on the passenger side.
