Default Dyno Results with Hotcam and LS6 intake

I gained 40rwhp and 35rwtq peak. The numbers are uncorrected so the comparison is not perfect. The power increase would have been higher given a cooler day like the old dyno numbers. The torque increase over the whole RPM range was significant which is what I was looking for since this is my daily driver, and it has not seen the track yet. I know I could have gone bigger with the cam, but I really wanted a low-lift cam to decrease reliability problems...

Old: 326.7rwhp 336.5rwtq lid, macs w/orp 60 degrees during dyno
New: 365.0rwhp 371.6rwtq ls6 intake, hotcam 83 degrees during dyno

This budget combo only costs me $800 (since I did the installs myself)

So how did I do?

Nice increase. I'm planing on the same mods and agree with your logic.

Yeah, I tuned it. I have LS1edit. (I'm Running 31degrees at WOT with no knock on HOT days!)

I did two runs yesterday. The first was way rich at the top (above 5000rpms), so I leaned it a bit. The results you see are from the second run.

I actually richened the bottom and leaned the top a tad since the dyno. So I may have squeezed a little more power out of it. (I was running a little lean near peak torque and a little rich near peak hp)

The car "feels" great though!

Hey Tommy You and I installed our Hotcams within a few days of each other(kept up with your install posts) I haven't been to the dyno but have been to the track twice since the cam change and went from 13.4's stock cam to 12.70 to 12.80 with only the Hotcam and gutted cats. also added about 5 mph. Looking to see what happens with some Pacesetter LT's. I'll keep you posted.

Yeah, I think you will be really happy once the headers go on! Good luck!

BTW, my next mod is 4.10s. I noticed that you have them. Can't wait!
