Default Converting a LS1 head to accept Gen I rocker studs and rockers.

Has anyone on here converted their LS1 heads to accept Gen I rocker studs and rocker arms.

The reason why I ask is that number 1 the rocker arm kits that include the adapter studs (5/16 or metric equivalnt to 3/8 stud), rockers, and guide plates are expensive and the adapter studs kinda make me nervous.

So what I am asking is has anyone drilled the heads to accept a 3/8" rocker stud ? Did the rocker stub boss have to get milled down ? Is the spacing between the rocker studs the same as a Gen I small block as in using the same guide plate?
