Stock Injectors after H/C install ....
hey guys,
i just did a h/c installation on my 02 SS and i still have the stock injectors and fuel pump for now. i was wondering how many of you guys are running the same way and if you upgraded ,which injectors did you go with ?

You want to be careful with the stock injectors. Anything over 80% duty cycle they say the injector will lose the ability to put out the correct amount of fuel. From my understanding when this happens it doesn't go lean like some poeple think but goes rich.. That can be just as bad as lean.. With ported heads and cam mine was at 97% with the stock injectors. I bought a set of the SVO 30s and now it's about 70 or so.

96% at WOT with stk injectors. AFR couldn't match what I was commanding at WOT (going lean). Since put 60# in (Over kill for now). 40% at WOT and AFR is staying in line with what I'm commanding. I'd say 42# would be best choice for H/C only car.

if you upgrade inj you should upgrade pump, but the 28.8's will support up to 450 rwhp. if you max them around 400 rwhp you are too rich, alot of poeple dont like to go leaner than 12.8afr but you can usually squeek a few more ponies out closer to 13.3afr. at that arf they will support up to about the 450 mark. if you want to keep it at 13.0 then probably about 430 is the max. but i know they will suport that 224 cam no problem if the pump is strong.
