Default which cam with PRC stg 2.5 5.3L heads

I am looking at Texas Speed's head and cam package for my stock bottom end 99 SS. Ive heard nothing but good things about these 5.3L heads. I was wondering which cam you guys would recommend for this application. I want to have a noticable idle, so no worries about keeping it sounding stock. Is there a lift limit with these heads because of the combustion chamber size? Also, with these heads, is there anything that needs to be relocated or are they a exact bolt on replacement. Thanks.

heads are direct bolt on, cam size is limited by PTV, i think the biggest that will fit is the Torquer V2 on a 113 LSA..if you get the smaller valve size you can go a little bigger..

I'm also gonna get these same heads with the MS3 on a 112 LSA. Anyone have any experience with either? I'd love to get some feedback

I have that setup and it works good, ls6 intake, pacesetter headers, through full exhaust, loose stall, 3.73 gears I put down 410/370. At the track it went 10.84 on a 150 shot, don't have any NA track times yet but going with a bigger stall and 4.10's this year. Will post times when our 6 feet of snow melts!

Check out the TSP 233/239 cam. I run that cam and I have these heads. I have yet to get it dynoed with the heads on but I put down 406/374 with the following:
pacesetter headers & ORY & borla catback
SLP LID
233/239 Cam on 112LSA with 918 springs

Those numbers are through a 9" mind you, 10bolt numbers would see a 10-15hp increase on the dyno.

I expect a drastic increase in dyno numbers when I finally dyno again, since I have also added a ported TB, underdrive pulley, the heads, and a few of the free mods.

my old car has those heads, when i bought em TSP said the Torquer (only 1 version back then) would fit but anything bigger would probably be too close in PTV to use...mine hade the optional 2.04 valves...just goin by what they said....
