Default Yella Terra 1.7 + TFS 215's = clearancing

I just put a set of 1.7 non adjustable Yella Terra Ultralites along with Trick Flow 215CC heads on my LS1. I took the car to the gas station, when I got home I saw the valve cover was leaking, I pulled it off and it looks like I'm going to have to remove atleast the baffles.

I've read about everywhere it says they won't rub at all but mine did, it is a simple fix but I thought I would share my info with the rest of you.

No not yet, I just got it running again last night. It sounds real healthy. I'm going to try to get some track numbers next month.

They put a small imprint on the baffle on the intake and exhaust drivers side rocker. My trick flows are the first style that use the 7.700 pushrods.

I'm about to take the passenger side off and check them out.

A few of the GTO guys have run into this. They were hitting the aluminum "rivet" that holds the baffle in place. I picked up a set of 04 valve covers and valley cover to eliminate the baffles all together since the PCV draws out of the valley cover.

Thats is what happened with mine. My passenger side looked good, I rubbed down the spots on the ends just for addred safety. My drivers side hit just enough to put a small prints into the baffle.

The rockers are bad *** though, I'd recomend them to anyone. Just make sure to turn your motor over with your covers on and check them to be sure they clear. My valve train is much quieter now with these.

that would definately explain it since i believe our cars were setup with 7.550 rods. Did you check your swipe pattern on the valvestem tip? Also if you did did you have to shim the yellas like the older style head

The older TFS heads used the 7.70. FWIW. All my HS rockers hit the valve covers.
