Wink 6.0L 317 heads...

What kind of cam lift will these heads support? Ive read about alot of stuff about different heads but little talk about these. HOTROD did a build up on one but changed cams when they did the head swap to L92's.
Im wanting to put an lq4 in my chevelle but not a stock one, I want it to "sound" like a muscle car but now Im questioning the truck intake/heads combo with a high lift/duration cam.... Seems the more I read the more I get confused. Thanks for any help.....

The 317 heads are very similar in design, flows and performance to the 243 LS2/6 heads. The main difference is that the combustion chamber design is different and the volume is larger on the 317 heads (71-72 cc versus about 64 cc).
