yes, sounds like clutch. loading in top gear is the hardest on it. that's where you see it first

Like above, when you're in a high gear and try to accelerate quick it puts a load on the clutch. The motor wants to spin but the gear ratio in 4th, 5th, or 6th is whats keeps it from accelerating real quick. Good way to test the clutch is to put it in 4th gear at 25/30 mph, at a low speed, and floor it to see if the clutch can hold.

Its not gone but its on its way. My 12k mile centerforce(and it is the 12" model made for SC/Turbo/NO2 and all I have is a few bolt ons) just started doing this but only in 6th so far.I would think you will still get some more life out if it. Take my advice...dont go cheap, ask around on here, and do it right the first time(i.e. replace throwout bearing/slave cylinder at the same time and a flywheel if you can afford it).

If I had been on LS1tech at the time I would have gone with a different clutch and may not be having the problems that I am after 12k miles.

The LS7 clutch set-up seems to be a great replacement clutch and reliable. The spec clutch doesn’t seem reliable and doesn’t last (there’s probably a few people thou that haven’t had issues with them).

A spec clutch like a spec 3 is not really a DD clutch, like an LS7 clutch is. You CANNOT slip a spec, it's a puck style clutch, so it doesn't DD well for a lot of people, they burn it up b/c they drive it like a stocker.. but feel free to throw some slicks on and clutch dump at 6k with a Spec. But don't expect to do that very many times with an LS7 clutch, ask the C6Z06 guys about that, but for a low power bolt on daily driver, go LS7.
