Default Which head bolts to order- long or short

I'm working on a 6.0 block that came from SLP as a 402 shortblock in 2006.

What head bolts do I order for this block, the 1997-2003 (long bolts), or the 2004+ (short bolts)??

I would assume that SLP uses new GM blocks, and that they would be newer than 2004, but how would I know for sure?

Do I need to pull the bolts and measure them, or is there a easier way?

Thanks!

Default I used the long ones

I also have a SLP 6.0 block (ZL-402) that I got in 06. I used the 04 and up head bolts.

The bolts you use are determined by the block. Did they even make a 6.0 block pre-04?
