Cam clearance question.
I have searched, multiple times Some searches lead me to believe I will be okay, others do not look so promising.
I just have a very quick question. Will I run into ANY clearance issues with a 233/239, .595/.603, 112LSA cam on a stock LS1? Stock 241 heads if that matters.
Thanks for any advice, it is appreciated.

Running too close is risky. If your valve springs get weak, or you over rev, the exhaust valve can hit the piston if they are too close, because the piston is chasing the exhaust valve up the cylinder. You could install the cam, then check PTV clearance with a light valve spring and a dial indicator. That may be tough with the motor in the car.
