Default Will a F13 work in a 5.3

Just wondering, I just got into this truck thing. I hear different stories on yay and nay. Specs on the cam are, f13 is 230/232 -.598/.588 lift with 112 lsa+4 Thanks for any help in advance.

yes it will. that is a great cam but i dont know if you want that much duration in a heavy truck. I have that combo in my car and it does very well but i should have fly cut my pistons and got my SCR and my DCR up a little but i was worried about flycutting. my quench is a little high to but oh well. good luck

That is a pretty big cam for a 5.3. I have a nice cam for a 5.3 if your looking. You want something with a smaller duration as posted. The cam i have is a 216/224 551/551 115lsa. This cam works very well for n20 or a supercharger. I made 340hp with this cam N/A with some good gas not n20.
