Default ms4 owners chime in please!

hey guys just installed ms4 w/ yank ss400. the car has the basic bolt ons except for intake/tb. im getting the car tuned april 7th and debating on how the car should be tuned either speed density or with the maf. im curious as to what other ms4 users used to tune their car.

Thumbs up

I've got the MS4 cam, dyno tuned by TSP - Great power, great daily driver even with MS4 and 4000 stall - MAF still in place.

When I had that cam, it ran best in Speed Density Open Loop mode, but Speed Density Closed Loop ran alright as well. Closed Loop Maf was a pain, but I was tuning it in the middle of the summer (90 to 100 teens temperatures).

i just sent my pcm to texas speed, best $225 i ever spent. But i have read it again and again, go MAF whenever you can, it is more forgiving. That is unless you know a badass tuner that can do the speed density tune.

Dude, tune it with the MAF, it'll be perfectly fine under 450

MAF tune relies more on computer calibrations and calculations to correct for fueling at all times. Speed Density is basically at this throttle position and this MAP value you have this setpoint of fuel.
