Default bogging poblem

hey guys i searched and searched and i found some things that actually sounded a lot like my problem and i did what they said but i still have my problem and was wondering if you guys could help alright so i have a 2000 trans am with long tubes full exhaust lid cam and a tune at the moment. well i heard a noise coming from the valve terrain and to locate it i pulled the plug wires well when i went to go reatatch one well it went boom and the valve cover gaskets blew out on both heads. i didnt hurt anything internally ive already checked it out but i reset everything but now i throw a code (dont know which one yet) but it blinks and ive heard thats a random misfire. The car boggs down badly in all gears n if i floor it, it still boggs but then it will kick in untill i let off. now after about 2 min of this it turns back to normal and i still have an ses light but it doesnt blink anymore. well i cant figure out whats wrong maybe a bad coil idk any help would be greatly appreciated. i just want my car back. oh and ive already replaced all the plugs and checked the wires.

To get a real guess, the code is the key. There are about a billion things that could be wrong with the car that you could speculate about. Get the code, throw it up on here and get the info. Thats why we are all here.

Are you saying you had a plug wire off with the engine running and when you plugged it back there was an explosion that blew the valve cover gaskets out? You say there is no internal damage, but did you pull the head? In order for combustion to blow the gaskets out it had to blow past the piston and rings into the crankcase. I would start with a compression test on all cylinders to see how that happened.

I'm not computer tuning whiz here but if it were me, I'd be looking into buying a set of O2's and a MAF. Possibly a power surge zapped all that stuff
