Id contact Futural since its his cam, you can prob run a new 918 spring with no issues. The more or less standard answer here is a Patriot Dual spring, its good for insurance, but a bitch to get on when doing the spring swap in the car as its tight area and requires some muscles

I have run 918's with my 244/248 cam for about 20k. Still have never had an issue. Running stock lifters as well.

I would pop for a set of good pushrods at the least.

I would go ahead and and go with the Comps 921 and they are expensive but for peace of mind I went ahead and sprung for them. Thats what I run with my FM13. I just didnt trust the single 918 spring for that much lift but you might be OK with them. Good Luck with your car.

I personally like patriots gold double springs......All the guys in my car club are running aggressive cams and these springs hold up well.

They go for $250 and that includes-the springs, titanium retainers, machined bases, Super 7 Locks, & viton rubber seals

Well, besides the obvious ability to handle an additional .050 or lift and negate the need for a new set if you go to a larger cam, the larger lift PAC beehive spring will give you slightly more seat and open pressure, will be less stressed during it's operating life, and should run slightly cooler. None of these benefits are probably important enough to warrant the extra cost above the 1218's unless your spending a lot of time on the track. Both are very high quality items.
