IMO go with a warhawk block OR a LSX block is what I would choose. u can't beat the price. I know the LS2 can handle 1,000rwhp but I'd rather have a lil insurance and go with something that is built for that kind of abuse.

Well the only issue I see is that your looking at either.
Warhawk or LSX block.
The issue I see is Warhawks are just coming out where I havent personally seen any of them have any issues blowing up. There have been cases of LSX based motors blowing up, OR the issues that were supposed to be solve are being solved but then new problems arise. Like from what I have seen with some big shot n2o motors based on the LSX.
Before regular LS1/LS2 blocks lifting the heads, pushing water/coolant, now you got the extra bolt so its clamping better. its clamping so good that the best pistons out there are starting to take the hit and are failing. **just an example that ive seen**
So its basically a unproven block vs a block that has a potential to fail you. Not trying to steer yea away, but definitly do some research, based on the combo you want to run.

A darton sleeved LS2 with billet caps is gonna cost alot just in labor and machining, add on the expense of welding on the tabs for the 5th and 6th bolt...
You may as well just try to get in line for an LSX block.
I have seen an LSX making over 1500hp torn down and you could see spots, in the main caps and heads even, where they were moving and meterial transfer was happening. But it still made alot of power and sealed just fine.
Just my 2 cents.
