What gains will I see from the following mods?
1. Will true duals give me 10+ hp over my current setup? I am contemplating 3" X pipe, into either Magnaflow or Flowmaster mufflers, dumping before the axle.
2.How much can I gain by swapping my 230/224 for one of the following cams: 236/230 or 232/240, assuming I have enough P to V clearance? (Heads have only been milled .005). and I have good valvetrain stuff (Comp dual springs, titanium retainers, chromoly pushrods, etc). ~10-15 hp?
3. Yella Terras = 5-8 hp?
4. How much will 6* to 8* additional degrees of timing help? (I am at ~23-24* timing advance with my current tune, fwiw) 8-12 hp?
5. Install underdrive alternator pulley, currently sitting in the console (Probably doesn't help much there ) 1-2 hp?
Would a 30-35rwhp gain be possible with the mods listed above? My current mods are listed below.
Here are my current mods:
TEA S2 5.7 heads, Ferrea 2.02 1.55 valves, milled .005

Base from prior readings on internet and just a guess, I estimate 35 to 45 horsepower with these mods. You will like the dual exhaust in my opinion plus the pulley. Good luck.

Spanky, what about one of those electric water pumps? If you change cams might give that a shot too. While I'm guessing I don't think there is 10-15rwhp difference in a 230/224 vs 236/230 maybe 5-8rwhp.
Also if you going to redo your exhaust anyway from the headers back, and god dual to X pipe, first try a cutout and redyno. I don't like the sound of a cutout so I leave it capped most of the time. My car was able to pick up a good bit with the cut out open.
