I would like to know what is the differance between 241casting and 317 casting because some guy is selling them to me real cheap

317s are like 76cc or something right? I know the 317s lower your compression ratio like almost a point.

317 have D Exhaust port like ls6/243 heads and 72cc chamber
flow more than 241
241 have 66cc chamber, flow less than 317 O exhaust port
both use 2.00 intake and 1.55 exhaust valve

Nemess just said it, 317's are good for a turbo, supercharger or big engines since they are 72cc heads, 241 would be better for CR on LS1

thanks guy's for the info i'll stay with my 241 heads then I thought the 317 heads would be better for the car but never mind.
