Aftermarket oil pan, what do you want???
I was just wondering what people building big hp gen3/4 motors want in a oil pan? Besides what the few after market and stock ones available have. More capacity, better/ adjustable scrapper to fit you crank rod combo.....???

It's not really the pan thats the problem in the high HP cars, its the fact that the direct drive oil pump was never designed to take 7k/8k+ rpm for any real amount of time, it just cant keep up with the demand or stay in one piece.
For the freeway guys you may want to look into a larger capacity pan that does not require a remote mount filter.

I got a moroso 7Qt pan for $220. required a new pick up $90. New pan gasket $53. Oh Jegs also didnt mention it required a remote mount filter... So you get a filter kit with custom braided SS lines for $50 from Ebay. You get it and it's 1/2" pipe thread so you now need to adapt the -10an fittings from the remote mount filter to your 1/2" pipe thread fittings in your filter. You MUST use -10an 90* female elbows to do this as moroso's pan steps out at the bottom and leaves you no other room to fit anything. These are $25 each. Then you need -10an->1/2NPT which are about $9 each. Then you have your setup.

I used an Autokraft steel pan on mine.
It was about $400, uses stock filter, and comes with pickup etc. Has internal trapdoors, and in terms of oil, it is probably quite good. Also holds more oil ( I think about a litre or more )
Cons-
Construction looks cheap due to amateur looking welds. Although it does not leak. I wasnt convinced the mounting flange would seal 100%, so I made addtional supports for it running the full perimeter of the pan.
