Default Some Problems after cam and FAST 90

Well, installed a FAST 90 and a 232/234 cam into my 02 Z06. Its been to the shop to get tuned (street tune not a dyno), and here is what I am having with it...

P0171 - System Too Lean (bank 1)
P0174 - System Too Lean (bank 2)
P0101 - Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Range/Performance Problem
P0300 - Missfire

Some hesitation while driving (right at about 2100 RPM's, seems to be in conjunction with one of those codes)
Has problems with idle if the AC is on, or if going to idle after heavy load

The tuner said he doesn't mind taking a look at this next week, but I would also like to know what LS1Tech thinks about it.

Thanks

well if its a faulty MAF sensor...it could obviously be throwing the A/F off, causing the other codes.

try swapping a good maf in there

I believe he tried a brand new MAF at some point and it didn't change anything... But that was before the tune was to the point it would run worth a damn. I'll have him try that good MAF again.

Thanks.

Prob it is the MAF, unless it wasnt hooked up. OR like said, a intake leak. OR a spark plug is not hooked up or corroded.

There WAS a vacuum leak in the FAST, but it has been taken care of. Where would this new leak possibly be coming from?

could be spark plug or ignition coil causing the misfire

You did replace the stock valley cover bolts? Possible cracked intake if not?

I have another MAF if you want to run it for the weekend to see. I can see a vacuum leak causing the lean codes, and the misfire code is an issue that should have been taken care of in the tune. Maybe the intake didn't get fixed quite right, and maybe you do need new o-ring seals?

Yes those were replaced. Again the FAST did have a crack in it but it has been fixed. When the intake had the vacuum leak it had all kinds of strange problems. Fixed that leak and it solved almost all the issues EXCEPT the MAF.

Have you tried running it without the MAF hooked up? Just unplug and go for a ride. You will still throw a code but it shouldn't hesitate at 2100 if MAF was the cause.

what happened to mine, was i drove it for a bit and i think i burnt up a spark plug because it was too lean, and then from then on it ran like **** untill i pulled it out and swapped em all and got it tuned. But even on the dyno while getting it tuned it ran like **** untill i swapped the plugs while it was still strapped to the dyno.

Yea, I think what I am going to do is change plugs, O2's and MAF all at the same time. We changed the plugs when we did the cam but who knows, they could be fscked.

What gets me is the car is to get better after it learns a little bit (after the tune)... The more mine learns the shittier it gets lols.

My O2 sensors caused some probs like that one time. I would come to a red light and the car would start to stumble and sputter a little................it also gave me the lean codes.

However; I did get the o2 sensor codes along with all of that.

ive had this problem, what it was was I forgot to hook up a spark plug wire to a spark plug, i hokoed it up but it was rushed and it didnt click and it popped off. It would run, but at 2000+rpms it would throw flashing SES. I did not get the lean codes, but I had 38# injectors ona stock tune, so it was so rich it fouled all the plugs driving around the block (its been tuned obviously since ) lessons learned!

I kinda figured the result of this, but without the MAF, it wouldn't even idle lols.
