Default 408 Build Advice

Didn't know where to post this but here goes. Have a TSP 408 short block, should I have shop put the motor together. Or is this something you can do yourself I have two very experienced mechanic buddies that will help but the experience is with old school hot rods. So SHOP or DO IT YOURSELF ?

I disagree. Pay somebody that knows the LSx motors to assemble it turn key for you. There is a world of difference between the old school motors and these bitchs. And when I say turn key I mean the shop that assembles it also tunes it before you pick it up.
A little bit of overtime a work can save your knuckles and keep you from damning your soul to hell for all eternity. If you really want to do it yourself get Jason at TSP to assemble the long block for you.
