Default PTV clearance gonna be a problem?

We are gathering parts for a Head/Cam on our 02LS1. We scored a used set of 59cc (milled) Patriot LS6 style heads (2.055I, 1.57E), less springs. We also got a set of carne duals (.650) lined up. We are looking at using the MLS gasket, and are considering two cams, 224R (114LSA) and 228R (114LSA). With stock pistons, and such conservative duration and lift, are we going to have issues with PTV clearance?

Those intake valves are gonna make it a close fit. Measure, but I"ll bet you will have to stick to the 224 cam, if that will even fit.

And you don't need to say "such conservative duration and lift". The duration, ICL, and LSA are the issues that will cause PTV issues.

Yep. It's all about valve events near TDC. With the large valves and the milled heads, I'd be sure to check clearance once it's assembled. You might want to be ready to notch the piston tops.
