Default Bench racer combo

anyone thought of this? i was pretty bored sittin around here at work and this combo just popped into my head. just daydreamin i guess.

C5R block, 4.125" bore.
custom pistons,
looong rods (6.3 or longer)
and a 3.25 or so. i.e. ~ whatever the 4.8L crank is
hella cam, ~260's / 260's @.050
C5R heads w/ mid/mild (ok what i call mild) 11.5:1 CR

basically a big bore 351 ci, similar to the long rod 351 combo of hot rod lore. slower piston speed, better head design and flow on the bigger bore, and set up the valve train to turn a reliable 9k-9500 through the lights.

My fav combo would be:

4.125 bore x 4.125 stroke resleeved block
S3 heads flowing about 330cfm @.600 lift
custom composite intake
ported throttle body
~ 244/244 114LSA cam for decent idle
1 3/4 - 1 7/8 stepped headers
X pipe dual 3 inch swappable cats
rev lok clutch with kevlar disc with adj master
Some sort of custom air intake setup. (1000 plus CFM)
6300rpm in the shiftlight
upgraded RAD
LS1 edit tuning and 160 stat

Would be fast, reliable and not need insane revs
Cheers,
Chris

Chris, your missing the point here. insane revs are the best part just think of the sound of a screaming crazy almost 10K LS1. ...ooh...the horror...

and 557 gears would be a plus as well

4.8 = 3.27 stroke (I have one for sale)

I don't like the C5R heads since they require a $2500 intake and custom headers... But I'd like to see a 4.125 bore x 3.27 stroke I'd like to see how it would do.
