Default Rocker arm bolt specs

Can some one give me the specs on the rocker arm bolt MM and pitch? Need to by some threaded rod that will fit.

8MM x 1.25 I believe, it's that or 1.5 MM

It is 8mm x 1.25. I tried doing it that way, but it worked better with a rocker bolt. If you grind the lips off in the area of the bend on the spring tool, a stock rocker bolt will be just the right length. Eliminating the lips is also necessary anyway to avoid scratching the valve cover gasket surface on your heads.

I am not sure what you mean buy grinding the lip off. Do you mean cut the peice of steal/tool down so it doesnt rest on the valve cover gasket surface?

No, it will still have to touch just the edge of the gasket surface. After the grinding, the tool will have a flat surface that doesn't damage the head. If you take a look at the tool, it has a lip that runs down both sides; you just grind those flat or these lips dig into the head. I'll try to post a picture later today if you can't visualize it.
