Default 450rwhp is my goal, how do i get there?

I have a 02 z28 m6, looking to do heads and cam soon, already have qtp lt 1-7/8, ory, magnaflow catback, slp intake, efi-live is on the way, i am just stuck on my heads and cam selection, i want a good daily driver/ street setup, as well as be able to hear the cam in the car, not worry about ptv issues, right now i am looking at patriot ls6 stage II heads, but really need help with cam selection, thanks.

Your gonna need a good set of heads and a nice cam and you'll hit that mark without any issues.

I'd push you in the direction LG Motorsports g5x1 or g5x2 cam, and AFR 205's or TFS 215's. Mill the heads to 59 cc, run a .040 cometic gasket and you got your power goal no problem. G5X1 cam and AFR 205's would be very mild and drive like stock. Should still come close to the power you want too. Go with the G5X2 cam and the TFS 215's should be a piece of cake to make 450 rwhp. Good luck !!!

The G5X1 and X2 cams are very good daily drivers. The x1 being the more friendly of the two. LG Motorsports makes another cam called the EXECUTIVE cam. Its a good upgrade from your stock cam, makes a lot of torque, and gets you a decent amount of hp too. However you said you wanted to hear the cam, the Executive might be too stealthy for you. Call LGM up and ask about there cams. The number is in my sig. Bobby or Anthony should be able hook you up.

Make sure you get some heads that are matched to your cam.

i agree with allngn, get a set of afr 205s or tfs 215s and mill them down to optimize your setup along with thinner gaskets to tighten your quench.. also a cam like a 228/232 or so on a 112 and you should be set. if you are alittle shy of your goals a fast 92/92 would help out quite a bit.

I've got PRC Stage 1 LS6 Heads, MS4 Cam, old MAC headers and through a 4000 stall and with 3.73's layed down 430RWHP through an auto. I'd wager a guess that my combo is good for 450 through an M6.

Good luck to ya!

My set up with a FAST 92/92 should get you there. I would avoid the budget heads if you want to hit those #'s.

Procharger is the best way to get there.
