Default Camshaft Lsa???

I am going to be putting a new CAM in the car soon. Prior I have always just gone to performance shops and said you decide what is best for my set-up and here is the money. Then I just leave happy. Now I'm in a situation where I can't do that so I have been trying to do my research and learn as much about CAMs as I can. One question I am wondering is what is the lowest LSA anyone is running on a automatic LS1 with a 3K stall. I have heard once I reach a certain LSA the car will stall at stop lights and stop signes. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

there is no such ceiling. It just depends on duration used and the tuner ability. Some run as high as T-Rex on 25* overlap. On stok subes for street I usualy recommend no more than 15*.

torquer III here and drives fine on 111lsa. just MAKE SURE you get a tuner who knows what they are doing. most of the driveability in a cam is in the tune.

my 109 LSA MS3 has some rumpety-rump. The lower the LSA, the more the lope.

You'll be fine even with a 110 lsa on that stall if you where to go that low...

I ran a 210/230 with a 112LSA on a stock stall with ZERO problems

Ok, let me put it another way. It has little to do with LSA, you need to look at overlap.
210/230 112lsa is a negative -4* overlap, so stealthy, that is why it works with stock stall.

This has cleared things up for me. I'm not really worried about the low lsa now and I will focus on the best tuner I can get shipped over to me. Thanks everyone for your inputs.
