Default Should I be happy w/ 35 psi cold Oil pressure new motor/5w30?

The mains are at .0015" and the rods at .0025-.0030" clearances. I have a stock oil pump that has been shimmed. I thought for sure I'd see more than 35 psi of cold oil pressure. Any input?

Thanks
Dave

That sounds really low for your oil pressure.. Also your clearances are off.. I believe the rods are supposed to be at .0008 and mains i'm not for sure of.

35 psi sounds a bit low for cold oil press. But if the tolerance arent tight than you will have lower oil pressure. Whats the hot oil pressure.

I don't know hot oil pressure yet. I have the front accessories and balancer off the motor so I could possibly pull the pump. Is it possible that the o ring was oinched some? or would that give me little to no oil pressure?? I'm going to swap in my old non shimmed pump and see what it does.

The O ring deal seems to be a very common problem for low oil pressure. Let us know if thats it. Sucks you gotta pull all the stuff off the front of the motor though. Hope thats it and nothing major.
