Clevite H vs P Main and Rod bearings
I did some research and I saw that the H series are for after market crankshafts. Is there any downside to using them with the stock crankshaft or should I go with the P series? What about for aftermarket rods? H or P for those?
Thanks.
Thanks.

The main difference is the bevelled edge (fillet). Stock crank, just use the P... Same for the rods. Aftermarket or not, the P bearings are spec'ed for the stock crank journal bevels.

You can use either. The P bearing is more eccentric and softer and not chamfered or narrowed. THe H series is less eccentric and harder and is an all out race bearing and is either chamfered or narrowed to clear the bigger corner radius of a performance crank shaft. It also usually costs more. Both will work on a stock crank.
