Default 241's

are these heads any good i just picked up a set and was wondering what i can expect from doing a 5 angle port job on them

If you compare them to 806's and 853's stock for stock the 241's flow alittle better but once they get ported there really is no difference. I would say its all in what type of cam your running and how much the heads flow and are ported.

I have 241's that came on my car (late 2000 model) and it performs very well for a bolt on car. It runs 12.5's on street tires and put down 353/369 on a dyno jet with the 6 speed tranny...Don't know if the heads are the reason though.

They're the best flowing stock LS1 heads. The valve job won't pick up much per se. Blend the bowl and narrow the valve guide and you'll see some good gains.
