Default Problem after cam install

I finished my cam install yesterday. I drove it and it ran fine. Just the normal finding the idle problem. I drove it for about 20 miles and got the engine hot. I let the car cool over night to let the springs set. Today I drove the car until it was worm and I did a wot run. As soon as I pushed the petal to the floor the car stuttered and the gauges went haywire. I let off and the idle came back to 3000 rpm. Did I fry my pcm what the hell is up with my car? The car drives fine until I go wot. I am lost any help would be great. Thanks.

Andy

Not sure, did you check all the electrical connections? Any vacuum leaks etc??
I ran thru 5 heat cycles and 500mi before I even went over 3k rpms. Hopefully all is good.

Good-luck.

Maybe the ground wires on the back of the head weren't re-attached right and when you go wot the engine torques just enough to break the connection? I dunno...sounds pretty odd.

Yep, sounds exactly like a bad ground conection somewhere . . .
