Default Custom Crane Cam RPM Range 236/242/600/609/110lsa ???

Hey guys just looking for some ideas of what you think my power band should be on my car with this cam grind. Im getting mixed feelings on what I should be looking for as far as the cam. I was thinking it should be in the 3600-6500 RPM range peak power. With some decent low end torque. I was told that this would be " over camming " my car and I shouldn't expected it to pull hard above 4000 RPM by the people who tuned my car. Below 4000 RPM I can't keep the tires from blowing off... And I have 315/30/18 BFGoodrich drag radials, then as soon as I hit around 42-4500 ish rpm it lays down and doesn't pull hard anymore. It seems like if I had over cammed my set up I would need to spin it up into the higher rpms to get into my power band. Not run out of power up high. Thanks for any Ideas

Here is a list of mods

i'd get it on a dyno and see what's going on. that cam should come on like a switch @ about 5,000 rpm. my buddy has that exact same cam in an a4 car with a 4k stall, it runs hard, good choice.

Since it appears you are still on stock heads, I wouldn't think you should be running out of injector just yet. And while it may not matter much with your 3600 stall, I wouldn't expect much power below the curve with stock compression.

That cam on a 110* ICL isn't closing the intake valve until 48* ABDC. The cam will want to peak over 6500, and the exhaust bias should allow it to pull well to 7000.

Your tuner should be able to tell you what the AFR and timing are in the upper RPM's, that should help steer you to what your car wants. He should also be able to tell you what the injector duty cycle is to give you some idea whether or not the injectors would even be a concern.

Is the same tuner doing your dyno tuning?

Its not getting dyno tuned Im just getting a dyno pass with air/flow ratio cheap.

The tuner said the first time I asked that I had 92 % then said 107 % duty cycle so I have no clue?? I don't want to change injectors unless im sure I need them..

I have an MS3 cam only and i used SVO 30 injectors just in case also if i wanted to upgrade more i wouldn't have to get new ones. I would say your injectors are maxing out.

Thats a nice entry level lstreet cam in my book.

I had one very similar and it drove better than my 212-220 and 228-232. Mated to a 3000 stallie it worked exceptionally well on the street. For the strip, it needs a 4000.

A well setup engine, heads, tune and exhaust should see that cam pull 400+rwhp easily.
