Default Won't rev over 6100

Ok got my new car dynoed over the weekend. Everything went great except the car would not rev over 6100. At 6100 it was like the car hit a brick wall. The upgrades are ls6 intake, lid, Long tubes, full 3" no cats, 1.85 rockers, and hardened push rods. Nothing was showing up with the tune or the data log. Fuel, spark, timing, injectors were all good. The only thing we didn't know about was if the previous owner changed valve springs when he put the rockers and pushrods in. Let me know please what you guys think.

If the valve springs weren't changed, you may have floated the valves.

If you are one the stock cam, you really do not need to go past 6100 very much.

Yes I know this we figured we would push it a little farther. It just won't go there. We set the shifts at 6k anyhow. I was just trying to get some info on possibly problem.

If you are losing control of the valve train, it will show up very well on the dyno. Just be careful as you don't want to kiss a piston.

I am pretty sure you are floating the valves that high on stock springs, even with a stock cam.

I had the same thing happen with my old 5.3L, at 6200 seemed as though is was hitting a brick wall. I did kiss some pistons, no bent valves and ran it for a couple more months. Problem was caused by not enough seat spring pressure.
