TR230 owners please chime in!!
Whats up guys..I just got done installing the TR230 in my 98Z and was curious as to what pushrod lengths you guys are runnin? My motor has a fairly loud ticking to it at anything from 1500-2500rpms and then seems to dissapear. I'm runnin the 7.400's that Thunder sells with this cam package. I never had this problem until the cam was installed. I've pulled the valve covers and doubled checked the rocker arm torque, checked for exhaust leaks and everything looks good. I know that these motors get loud with cam swaps but this is just to loud to be normal. Loud enough that when I drive next to cars you can hear the ticking over the exhaust!! Thanks for your comments guys!

I used the TR pushrods that come with the kit in two different motors with the TR230. No loud/abnormal ticking or problems of any kind. Make sure your rockers are torqued properly. Good luck.

7.4 came with mine in the kit. I have my exhaust sealed up now and the valvetrain noise is very little or none at all. Don't know why I got so lucky. Some folk end up with a sewing machine and some don't. Would be nice to know if its the pushrod length or not??? Good luck on your quest.
