Default Car wants to die when AC is turned on MAX

Twice so far ive turned my ac on max and the cars idle drops and doesnt want to go anywhere. Just installed and ls6 intake, and im throwing an o2 code for the passanger side.

would that 02 cause the problem?

Its only done it twice and when i turn off the ac the idle returns to normal, and when i turn the ac on max again it wont do it. what the deal?

It is common for a vehicle with a defective(IAC)Idle Air Control valve to run rough or die.If the IAC is restricted by Carbon,when you turn the A/C on it puts a load on the engine which is already starving of air,and drops the idle enough to cause it to die.I would check your IAC on your Throttle Body first.There is a good chance...that is the reason you are getting a DTC from the O2 sensor.

Assuming it wasn't doing it before the LS6 intake leads me to believe there's an issue there. I would solve the 02 DTC before you start replacing anything.

Just a guess but, if unmetered air is some how getting in on that side the a/f ratio it could be causing the ECU to think that the O2 on that side is bad because it's reading such a vastly different a/f ratio than the drivers side? Because it sounds like it could be a vac issue.

I know it's not the same beast but my old 94 Thunderbird SC had the MAF before the supercharger and all the intercooler piping. If there was even the slightest leak in the intercooler piping (which was only amplified by the supercharger) it wouldn't idle at all. So as an example unmetered air on a MAF system can really mess up your idle and make the car not want to run well.

Maybe something isn't completely sealing on the passenger side of the intake manifold? one of the lil rubber oring type seals around the intake port?

you may need to add air to the desired airflow table, {B4307}
definitely check for air leaks though.

something as simple as a ac that is charged to much. when the charge is to high and the clutch grabs, it will put unwanted strain on the belt causeing the motor to not want to idle so easy.

not saying it is the case but it is worth a 2 second check.

so if its doing it after the LS6 intall, does it mean you have a leak?

Make sure that the o-ring from your IAC isn't still sitting in your old intake, and make sure the vacum line on the back of the intake is hooked up

^checked that out. took the manifold off and all the gaskets are in place and in perfectly. could there be an issue with the bolts not being tight enough? or too tight

Check the T/B gasket. If your getting unmetered air around the T/B it will make the iac act screwy. Sounds like you have a vaccum leak.
