Default fired my 408 for the first time..got qestions

pictures added on post #8 LOOK
Hello,
Today I finally got my car all buttoned down and started her up, one thing I noticed right away is that there is a lot of air blowing from the oil intake, this is the place were I have the breather for the engine since I deleted the PCV system in my last set up.
both of the valve convers are bridged with a hose to equalize the pressure,
does that mean that there is some blow by?

also I have to install a new water pump since the one I had started leaking from the shaft, not were you put gaskets....what a freeaking bummer, I will get a new one and install it this weekend then is of to SQR for a tune update, I will post pictures later and show you the finish product....I am so exited, It sounded so goooooood....
Thanks

Who built it? Did they give you a recommendation? If not call they and ask them what they think

a recomendation as to what? I got the engine built by HKE, I guess the comment about the rings make sense. it still sounds and runs fine but there is more air than is nomal comming from that oil fill breather.

A couple of hard runs will help those rings to seat Some people think I'm crazy but it works If you have that much blowing by though I doubt thats your problem. I like a PVC with a catchcan if necessary.

well the car is running again, I installed a new pump from oryles as well as a new thermostat and housing, it has no leaks and it holds an idle with the previous tune, I will bleed the brakes and clutch and will take it for a few test runs. the new injectors will be installed at SQR where they will update my tunning. the engine fired up on the first try after I primed the oil and gas. I will update some of the pictures of the engine and show you people what it came out looking as.
I am super excited, it sounds so good trough my 3 inch custom duals.
muaaaaahahahahahahah

Yeah bro, your pics are red x's.

I can't wait to see the power your 408 makes with the afr 205's. Can you pm or post your cam specs? This is going to be an N/A tune, or do you plan on running Nitrous too? Asking these questions because I will be swapping my parts soon from my 346 to a 402. I'd like to see you hit 500 rwhp and similar torque. Best of luck.

Subscribed brother.

I don't think the addresses you are using for the pictures is correct. I tried to paste the addresses and they all take me to the main sign-in page.

I am hoping to hit 500 at the wheels, thanks for the positive comments, also I think the engine will perform as expected, it just needs to get broken in a little. the craftmanship of the 408 was amazing, the attention to detail is very well noticed, all the edges were deburred and I saw how his crew did the finishing touches when I was picking it up.
so you are saying that the engine needs to be settled and the blowing will cease.
did you run a breather on the valve cover and bridged it like me or did you have a PCV system in place?
