Default Put New Motor in...Can anyone tell me where this goes?

The connector and the ground strap. Both come from the harness that runs alongside the drivers side of the car. Other end of the ground strap os bolted to the frame ant goes into the harness then back out and is hanging there, I dibt remember seeing it before. The harness I dont remember taking off and neither does my friend who is helping on the motor swap. Can anyone tell me where they go or what there for? All ready to fire it up just didnt want to until I figure out where they go

ground goes to the alt.

not sure on the connector. what other connectors are on that harness? remember that they are usually cut to length, so it should stop fairly close to where it should go.

if i remember right, that looks like your plugin for your Cruis control module. it sits underneath the frame rail where the connector is hanging. That ground strap is supposed to go between the frame and the block.

yes, that looks like the plug in for the cruise control, the ground strap bolts to the drivers side upper frame rail, along with another ground, and then bolts to the block behind the alternator, just had mine out.

there is alittle spot on the side of the block where that goes... its a short 15mm bolt i beleive that holds it in. Might be 13mm i forget off hand.

So is the strap for grounding the alt or the engine? Looks like it can bolt to 2 places either the bracket behind the alt or between the bracket and the block..
