Unhappy any idea's

i have a 2000 trans am and my car just went thru some water from the street flooding and it cut off while going thru it i tried to start it after it cut of and it doesn't want to start, my friends told me to take the spark plugs (spark plugs had water on them) out and try to turn the crank which i did but the crank won't turn, we thought that maybe the starter was stoping it so it was removed and it still wont spin when we try to spin the crank. Does anyone know whats wrong and what can i do.

If all the spark plugs are removed then that would eliminate hydro locking as the reason why the motor wont turn over, the only thing I can think of is that you must have the car in gear while you are trying to turn the motor over.

If the crank won't spin it's hydrolocked. Bent/brocken rods....

Sparkplugs removed, water won't get locked. But bent internals could be the culprit, I hope not...$$$.

The water ingestion caused it to hydro-lock. You then bent or broke some rods because water does not compress very much. I cannot know this for sure, but its all to similar to the story the guy told that I bought my car from. If you cannot turn it over with the plugs out, start the teardown

Sorry to say but welcome to the club. The same thing happened to me about 3 months ago. Because you tryied to start it up (like me) when it was hydro locked you probably ruined your motor. I ended up cracking my block because of this I am now putting in a LS2 in her place. I'm sorry to hear this and wish the best of luck to you.
