Ive done it on a 2 cars and it does make them run better. The one we straped to the dyno made in the 370s on a dynojet dyno and ran low 12 and touched into the high 11.9 if I remember right. If you can get the stuff with a good deal then do it I liked it personally because I blew my car up on nitrous kit stuck and I bought a 2002 LS6 and ran it for 2 to 3 years and was very pleased. Hope all works out.

There are many, many choices out there. It all depends on what you are looking for. Big cam = big power, but lower driveability. Drag car? Low end torque not as big as high rpm horsepower.
Do yourself a favor: Search through this site, review the stickies at the top, and research what you come up with.
Oh, and to answer your question, no - the LS6 heads, cam swap is not worth the effort and expense. Unless you got them for free, there are much better choices out there. MTI in Houston has really good heads and cam selections. Patriot Performance has bargain-priced ported heads. Texas Speed and Performance offers good selections. Like I said, lots of choices. All depends on your requirements and wallet!! Good luck!

I was going to install the same stuff. The ls6 heads and intake are cool.I decided that if I was going to all the trouble and expense that their were
better cams I could use and still be really streetable.I decided on 224/224
561/561 @ 115.That is a pretty standard cam with good power. It's
your car and you have to be happy with it.I would do the research.
Ported 243's would be cool.YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT YOUR BUDGET.

Both the LS6 manifold and heads are a good idea. They're both cheap, and perform very well for what they are. If your going through the trouble for a cam swap though, go with something a little bigger. You can get around 400rwhp with any of those 22x/22x cams and have a car that drives like stock.
