biggest stroked stock bore ls1 possible ?
with an aftermarket crank and stock boresize (with perhaps a light hone)
and with some grinding for the rods if nessesary , what kind of displacement would be possible ?
i mean can you fit a 4.0 or 4.185 inch stroke crank with special rods/ pistons in a stock bore engine ?
What am i looking at then ? 399 cui ?

I have a 4.125 stroke crank, 6.250 rods and Custom Lunati pistons on a 3.903 bore
had to grind the block some to clear the rod bolts
other than that she runs great!
just got the fast 92/92 on and TD will be going on and motor has alittle over 2k miles so new dyno and track numbers should be coming soon!
old dyno numbers and track are with LS6 intake and Borla catback

From what ppl have found on this board, it's better not to run over a 4 inch stroke in a stock block. If you run more you risk oil burning issues plus longevity issues if you run a power adder, because there is not enough support for the piston at BDC.
I remember a while ago when the 4.125 inch cranks came out, ppl tried them and a decent number had oil issues.

My old car had a 2002 block in it, and it was bored to 3.908, .010" over. You can do this with the newer blocks, but I dont think 97,98, or maybe even 99 and 2000 can go past 3.905 bore. I cant remember exactly what year you could go .010" over, but I know for sure my 02 block was a 3.908 bore after I built the motor.

Just givin you guys a hard time...I didnt see it at first either and had to look at it a few times to be sure I wasnt just seeing things.
I see you have the G5X3 V2...any input on what the difference between it and its G5X3 predecessor...just curious. Hows it feel? Power range any different that the original version?
